Vibrant Citrus-Inspired Reception Flowers for a Summer Wedding at Trademark's Botanica

After a dreamy muted pastel ceremony, this summer wedding at Botanica took a playful turn with a reception that burst with bright citrus-inspired hues. The couple’s choice to transition from soft romantic tones to bold, lively colors created a dynamic and memorable experience for their guests.

The reception was all about celebrating joy and energy, with a color palette inspired by citrus fruits. Vibrant shades of tangerine, lemon, coral, and oranges brought a fresh, cheerful vibe to the garden setting. These pops of color were paired with lush greenery to keep the designs grounded and cohesive with the venue’s natural aesthetic.

The reception tables had two different designs. The head table + farm tables were adorned with vibrant pin frog centerpieces that embodied the playful theme paired with bud vases and loose fruit. Arrangements featured zesty tangerine zinnias, sunny yellow ranunculus, and bright coral dahlias, accented by grapefruits, lemons, and fresh citrus slices for a touch of whimsy. We incorporated modern gold taper candlesticks to add a hint of sophistication, creating a balance between fun and elegance.

To enhance the ambiance, round tables were decorated with romantic candle centerpieces surrounded by loose, mixed-colored rose petals. Fresh citrus fruits nestled among the petals added an organic, playful element. The flickering candlelight provided a soft glow that created a cozy, intimate atmosphere as the sun set over the garden.

The shift to brighter florals was intentional, signaling a transition from the formality of the ceremony to the fun and energy of the celebration. This playful color palette encouraged guests to relax, dance, and enjoy the evening in the enchanting garden setting. And perhaps the most playful design was the whimsical Cake Meadow we built around their beautiful cake with an ode to their cute little dog Luna!

Additionally, they pair beautifully with outdoor venues like Botanica, where the natural greenery offers the perfect backdrop for such vibrant tones.

"...She also made my citrus dreams come to life with cut up grapefruits and oranges and lemons for all of the farm tables. When we dropped the table numbers, she used the extra flowers to make the most beautiful cake meadow I’ve ever seen. She moved the welcome floral baskets to the seating chart arrangement during our cocktail hour before reception which was great to be able to repurpose them.
