Pastel Wedding Flowers for Spring Wedding at La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA

Spring is a season of beauty and romance, and there is no better place to celebrate it than the charming La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA.

La Valencia Hotel, often referred to as "The Pink Lady," is a historic gem in La Jolla. With its Spanish-style architecture, lush gardens, and breathtaking ocean views, it is a sought-after venue for couples looking to tie the knot in style. Nestled by the stunning Pacific coastline, La Valencia's iconic pink facade served as the perfect backdrop for Aspen and Ross' dream wedding. Their choice of a pastel color palette harmonized exquisitely with the hotel's rosy hues, creating an enchanting and picturesque setting for their special day.

Aspen and Ross chose a pastel color palette that beautifully complemented La Valencia's iconic pink paint. Soft blush, delicate lavender, pale blues and yellows, mix with greenery and a bold pop of fuchsia created the perfect ambiance. These gentle hues were woven throughout every element of the wedding.

Springtime means an abundance of flowers in full bloom, and Aspen and Ross' wedding was no exception. Their floral arrangements were a breathtaking celebration of the season, featuring a mix of elegant and modern elements that left guests in awe.

Aspen's bridal bouquet was a vision of elegance and whimsy. It featured delicate sweet peas, butterfly ranunculus, tweedia, lisianthus, and rosee. We took some of those daintier blooms and used them in Ross' boutonnière to create a cohesive look.

The ceremony arch was a showstopper. Aspen and Ross opted for a more modern Grounded Arch so that we did not obstruct the ocean views! We made lush arrangements filled with linear blooms like lavender and pastel blue delphinium, blush larkspur, and yellow forsythia to bring in the height and a bit of drama, as well as tweedia, lisianthus, butterfly ranunculus, scabiosa, and carnations to create a garden inspired look and stunning focal point. The addition of trailing greenery gave the arch a natural, organic feel, perfectly nestling the couple as they exchanged their vows.

We repurposed their Grounded Arch to in front of the Sweetheart Table at their reception and Guests' tables were adorned with whimsical bud vases and romantic candle light.

But by far my favorite arrangement at the recepption was the Cake Meadow! Such a fun moment to highlight with flowers.

Wishing these two highschool sweethearts a continued life of happiness and love. It was such a pleasure working with them and their amazing team of Vendors!

"The flowers designed by Kelly for our wedding at the La Valencia were so beautiful! During the design meetings she perfectly captured what I described to her, and the execution was stunning (like our amazing floral cake arch and wedding welcome sign). We planned to use our ground arch from the ceremony into the reception space, but Kelly and her team were able to take so many other arrangements they had made and place them in beautiful spots in the reception area that were total surprises to us that completely elevated the space (for example, we had not discussed placing flowers under our caricature photo, Kelly and the team did that on the spot and it was beautiful - I was so surprised to see how pretty it looked when I arrived to the reception). Kelly and her team were so professional in every step of the processes. I would highly recommend Le Champagne Projects to anyone getting married in the area. We cannot thank you enough!!"
